Plot: The Giver tells the story of the formation of Jonas, a young boy growing up in a world where everyone seems Utopian-looking happy. This sense of harmony is given by existence strictly manipulated so that the community is deprived from the so-called burden of memory. They do not know what suffering is, hunger or violence. On the other hand there is no freedom, no choice and no individuality.
