In 1777, a year after he came to power, King Jeong-jo finds himself, assisted by a servant of the court Gap-soo, to handle a difficult situation at the palace due to the dangerous conflict between two factions: the Noron and Soron. Meanwhile, Eul-soo, a member of a secret group of assassins, received the order to kill the king.
